PASMA Tower Training
Towers for Users Course
This training is aimed at personnel who will be responsible for assembling, dismantling, moving and inspecting mobile access towers when using 3T or Advance Guardrail (AGR) systems.
At the end of this full one-day course, delegates will be able to assemble, dismantle, alter, move, and inspect mobile towers with complete confidence.
The course covers:
- Legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting working at height with mobile access towers
- PASMA Code of Practice; Product Standards EN 1004:2004
- Assembling, altering and dismantling towers
- Current best practice for fall protection
- Inspection of completed mobile access towers
- Tower Inspection Records; hazards affecting the use of mobile access towers and how to avoid
- Understanding the responsibilities
- General guidance and information
Upon successful completion of the theory and practical sessions, every delegate receives a certificate and a PASMA photo card with a 5 year validity period.
Low Level Access Course
This half day course is intended for users of low level access equipment (< 2.5m) made from prefabricated tower components, such as folding step units and folding tower units.
The course covers:
- Current Legislation
- Regulations and Guidance affecting work at height with low level access units
- PASMA Code of Practice
- Publicly Available Specification, assembling, altering and dismantling low level units
- Current best practice for fall protection
- Inspection of completed low level units
- Tower Inspection Records
- Hazards affecting the use of low level units
- General guidance and information
Upon successful completion of the theory and practical sessions, every delegate receives a certificate and a PASMA photo card with a 5 year validity period.
Combined Towers for Users Course & Low Level Access Course
This combined course provides delegates with both the Towers for Users and the Low Level Access qualifications.
Upon successful completion of the theory and practical sessions, every delegate receives a certificate and a PASMA photo card with a 5 year validity period.
The Knowledge / WHAR
The Knowledge training course was developed in association with the UK Health and Safety Executive.
The course is designed for workers that must comply with Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR).
This full day in-house course covers a thorough knowledge in the Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR).
The course focuses on how to work safely at height and includes both theoretical and practical sessions to maximise effective learning.
The training course covers:
- Defining work at height
- Current legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting work at height
- Organisation and planning of working at height
- Identify hazards and safest work method
- Risk assessment and safety inspections
- Make use of appropriate equipment
- Understanding the responsibilities
Upon successful completion of the theory and practical sessions, every delegate receives a certificate to confirm they have undertaken and passed the course.
